When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly, such as:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Delivery address, landmark, city, state and pincode
• Order details — products, sizes, colors and quantities selected
• If you create an account: your password, which we store only in securely hashed form and never in plain text

We do not collect or store any payment card, UPI PIN, or banking credentials on our website — payments are completed directly between you and us via UPI or WhatsApp, outside our systems.

We use the information you provide to:

• Create and process your order
• Send order confirmation, payment instructions, invoices and delivery updates by email
• Create and secure your account, including sending password-reset emails when you request one
• Let you view your saved address and past orders when you're logged in
• Coordinate delivery with our internal delivery team
• Respond to questions or support requests you send us via WhatsApp, email or Instagram
• Improve our products, catalog and customer experience

We do not use your personal information for automated profiling or sell it for advertising purposes.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary to fulfil your order or run our business, such as with:

• Our email service provider, to send order and invoice emails
• Delivery/courier partners, to deliver your order to the address you provide
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us or place an order via WhatsApp

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation or a valid legal request.

Our ordering process is manual and does not use a payment gateway. If you order or communicate with us via WhatsApp, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy in addition to this one. If you pay via UPI, the transaction is handled by your UPI app/bank directly — BASE FRAGRANCES never sees or stores your UPI credentials.

Our website uses your browser's local storage to remember items in your shopping cart between visits — this stays on your device and is not sent to us until you place an order. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future (for example, to add analytics), this policy will be updated accordingly.

We retain order and customer information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil orders, handle support or returns requests, keep accounting/invoice records, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Account passwords are never stored in plain text — they are stored only as a securely hashed value that even we cannot read back. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may contact us at any time to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal or accounting retention requirements

We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
